MyCloset Budapest is the brainchild of our founder, Melanie. A dual American-Hungarian citizen, Melanie grew up in New York city with a passion for designer fashion.

​

The fashion industry puts a lot of stress on this planet. According to a report from the Ellen Macarthur Foundation, the carbon footprint from textiles production in 2015 was greater than the CO2 equivalent of international flights and shipping combined. Our record for waste is no better: It's estimated that more than half of the "fast fashion" produced around the world is thrown out in under a year.

 

Borrowing a dress from MyCloset Budapest helps fight that kind of consumerism and helps you to be environmentally friendly.

 

Whether you need a gown for a red carpet event or are just looking to update your wardrobe, Melanie gives each of her clients the same amount of respect and attention, making her easy to work with and definitely easy to love!

Shortly after opening the boutique, Melanie engaged the media services of Woods Consulting and Anikó came on board bringing with her over 15 years of marketing, design and retail fashion experience.
